There’s a persistent myth roaming boardrooms and management meetings: β€œSoon, we can have AI do this entire job.”

Sure. Because if your work is repetitive or tightly wrapped in procedures, apparently you are too. First-rate logic.

But let’s be honest: the problem isn’t that employees do mindless work. The problem is that they have to do mindless work.

What happens then? You get a workforce dutifully following the process manual, slowly sinking into boreout, and able to explain exactly what could be improved at the coffee machineβ€”but never given room to actually do it.

β˜•οΈ β€œYou know what would really be smart?”

Instead of replacing employees with AI, you could simply let AI do the boring work. And people… the human work.

Imagine:

  • AI handles the repetitive tasks nobody gets excited about.
  • You finally tackle the improvements you’ve been grumbling about for months.
  • Your manager doesn’t need to pay a golden handshake worth thirty years of salary.
  • You grow, the organization grows, and the coffee machine becomes a place of inspiration again instead of group therapy.

Win-win-win. The best part? It costs less than firing someone.

πŸ’‘ The real AI strategy isn’t cost reduction. It’s talent liberation.

AI isn’t a replacement for people. It’s a replacement for work that keeps people small.

The supposedly β€œreplaceable” employee suddenly turns out to be a gold mine of ideas, improvements, and process optimizationsβ€”as soon as you give them room to do what people actually excel at:

  • critical thinking,
  • creativity,
  • empathy,
  • understanding context,
  • seeing nuance,
  • taking responsibility.

AI can do a lot, but that list? For now, that’s still very much human work.

πŸš€ So managers, here’s the challenge:

Before letting someone go because β€œAI can do it cheaper”… Give that person one month to show what happens when AI does the work and they do the improving.

You’ll be amazed how much innovation has been walking around your organization all alongβ€”hidden behind procedures, KPIs, and Excel spreadsheets.

🎯 AI doesn’t replace people. AI only replaces poorly designed jobs.

That might be the very best opportunity organizations have had in years!!

πŸ’¬ Tag your manager if this sounds familiarβ€”or dare to share it internally?

πŸš€ AI does the work. You do the thinking.

β˜•οΈ From coffee-machine complainer to innovation driverβ€”who’s up for it?
